Vehicle diagnostics and fault finding in Espoo
Diagnostics investigates the cause of a vehicle symptom using fault codes, measurements and functional tests where needed. We agree on the scope before starting work.
When is fault finding needed?
A warning light, hesitation, loss of power or uneven running are reasons to contact us. Tell us when the symptom occurs and what the vehicle reports. An intermittent fault can leave a stored code even after the warning light has gone out.
Reading fault codes or investigating the fault?
Reading fault codes shows the codes stored in the vehicle systems. A code is a starting point for investigation, but it does not identify a part that needs replacing on its own. Fault finding combines the codes with symptoms, measurements and functional tests where needed.
How we investigate
We listen to your description and review the data stored by the vehicle systems. We compare measurements with the symptoms and examine sensors, wiring, controls and mechanical operation as needed. Functional tests and a road test are used where appropriate.
BMW and MINI expertise
BEM-TEC is a workshop specialising in BMW and MINI vehicles. For these vehicles, we use model-specific knowledge and data from the vehicle systems. We select the investigation methods to suit the vehicle and its symptoms.
From findings to a repair decision
We explain the findings and suggest the next steps. The repair work and its estimated cost are agreed separately. An investigation does not authorise other work without your agreement.
